SO – Slip On Flange
SO – Slip On Flange
A Slip-On Flange (SO Flange) is designed with an inner diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe, allowing the pipe to slip into the flange before welding. The flange is then secured to the pipe using fillet welds on both the inside and outside to ensure sufficient strength and prevent leakage.
Slip-on flanges are similar to Socket Weld Flanges, but without an internal shoulder. Because of this design, welding is typically performed on both the internal and external sides of the flange connection to improve structural integrity.
Slip-on flanges are commonly used for larger pipe sizes and are generally more popular than Welding Neck Flanges due to their lower cost and shorter hub length, which requires less installation space.

SW – Socket Weld Flange
Read moreSW – Socket Weld Flangeล is a flange with the bore as a socket to connect to the pipe. It’s connected to the outside on the shoulder that doesn’t require welding. The external welds are fillet welds, so the integrity of the welds cannot be checked by radiographic methods. This type of flange is used for high-pressure pipes that are smaller than the flange itself. This type of flange has internal weld holes to allow liquid or gas to flow through the pressure pipe. SK Fitting Valve has welded flanges manufactured in a variety of material grades and sizes that meet the purpose of use.
