SW – Socket Weld Flangeล is a flange with the bore as a socket to connect to the pipe. It’s connected to the outside on the shoulder that doesn’t require welding. The external welds are fillet welds, so the integrity of the welds cannot be checked by radiographic methods. This type of flange is used for high-pressure pipes that are smaller than the flange itself. This type of flange has internal weld holes to allow liquid or gas to flow through the pressure pipe.
